Closing your shop
Ask Pasal to close your shop from Settings. What closing does, what is kept for tax, and how the files are deleted later.
Only the owner can ask. Open the account menu, then Settings → Close this shop, under Records. Type the shop's name to confirm, add a note if you like, and press Ask Pasal to close this shop. The request changes nothing on its own: the shop keeps working until Pasal closes it by hand. While it waits you can press Withdraw the request.
When Pasal closes the shop
- The storefront, its About page and its customer page say This shop has closed, and it takes no orders or bookings.
- Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp and TikTok are disconnected, the same as pressing Disconnect yourself.
- Every ChatGPT and Claude connection to the shop is revoked.
- You and your staff are signed out on every phone, computer and Pasal Desk.
- Bill links you sent from the counter stop showing the bill. The page says the shop has closed.
Until the files are deleted, Pasal can open the shop again if you change your mind. Write to support@pasal.studio. Inboxes and AI connections are not restored: you connect them again.
What is kept
Bills, invoices, credit and debit notes, returns, repairs, khata, payments, payslips, the shop's audit log and the year-end IRD copies are kept, because tax law requires it. You can still sign in and download them from Backups. Download a copy before you ask.
Deleting the files
Later, Pasal deletes the shop's uploaded files: the logo, product and page photos, payment QR pictures, payment screenshots and the verification certificate, with the shop's visitor counts and design history. After that the shop cannot be opened again. The IRD permit file and cost receipt photos are kept with the books. For what Pasal keeps and why, see Deleting your account and your data.
