Before you start
Pasal Pro. Asking from an AI app is part of Pro. A trial counts.
The owner switches it on. In the Pasal dashboard, the shop owner opens Settings → AI assistants and switches on Let AI assistants read this shop. It is off for every shop until then. Staff cannot turn it on.
Each person signs in as themselves. The owner and staff each connect with their own Pasal account, and see only what their own Pasal permissions allow.
Questions to try
Copy one into your AI app once Pasal is connected. Ask the way you would ask a person; Nepali works too. In ChatGPT, start with @Pasal.

The assistant shows the change first. Nothing changes until you say yes.

Connect your app
Each app sends you to pasal.studio to sign in and say what it may do. Steps checked on 21 October 2026; Codex's and Cursor's are from their own docs. Apps change their menus, so if a step looks different, look for the nearest match.
ChatGPT opens pasal.studio. Sign in, check the shop name, choose what to allow, and press Allow.
In a chat, start your question with @Pasal.
If your plan does not show the directory, add Pasal by its address: open Plugins, press Add, then Add custom MCP server. Name it Pasal, paste the address above as the Server URL and choose OAuth. Some plans and work workspaces do not allow this.
Pasal's ChatGPT listing answers questions about sales, best sellers, stock, orders, bookings and khata, and works on your shop's look. The newer questions and changes arrive in ChatGPT once OpenAI approves Pasal's update.
Claude opens pasal.studio. Sign in, check the shop name, choose what to allow, and press Allow.
Start a new chat and ask. If Claude does not use Pasal, check that Pasal is switched on in that chat's connectors.
If Pasal does not show, add it by address: Customize → Connectors → Add → Add custom connector, with the name Pasal and the address above. On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner of the Claude organisation may need to add it first.

Cursor
Add this to .cursor/mcp.json in your project, or ~/.cursor/mcp.json for every project:
In Cursor's MCP settings, sign in to pasal. Your browser opens pasal.studio; press Allow.
If sign-in fails with "invalid_redirect_uri", your Cursor returns from sign-in to an address Pasal does not accept. Pasal accepts only an address on your own computer (localhost or 127.0.0.1).

Apart from ChatGPT and Claude, Pasal accepts a sign-in only from an app that returns to your own computer (localhost or 127.0.0.1). The yes page then names "an app on this computer". Any other app that takes a remote MCP server with OAuth sign-in and returns there can use the same address.
Saying yes on pasal.studio
Whichever app you use, the yes happens on Pasal's own page. Check the shop name and where it sends you back. Reading the shop is ticked; customer names and phone numbers, saving looks and making changes each have their own tick and start off. Not now connects nothing.

What it can and cannot do
It can
Read sales, best sellers, stock, open orders, bookings and khata totals, from your dashboard's records. Questions change nothing.
Make a preview of a new look for your shop as a link. Saving or publishing a look needs its own tick.
Make everyday changes, such as a price, stock, opening hours or a promo code, only when the owner has switched on Let AI assistants make changes, you ticked Make changes, and you said yes to that change in the chat. Most can be undone in Settings → AI assistants → Changes. How changes work.
It cannot
Move money, take a payment, mark an order paid or refund it.
Publish or delete products, or delete orders, bookings or promo codes.
Change your shop's phone, WhatsApp, email, address, PAN, VAT or payment details.
Show a PAN or VAT number (Pasal hides any nine-digit number), or customer names and phone numbers unless you ticked that.
See more than the signed-in person's own Pasal permissions allow.
The owner stays in charge. Switching off Let AI assistants read this shop stops all reading at once. Settings → AI assistants lists every connection, with Revoke and Revoke all.
Connections end on their own. One left unused for ninety days ends. Permission to make changes ends thirty days after you gave it.
Every use is logged. The owner sees the last 50 questions by kind (sales, stock and so on), never the words, and every change: what it was, who said yes and when.
Where your data goes. What the assistant reads goes to the company that runs it: OpenAI for ChatGPT, Anthropic for Claude, under their own terms. See Privacy: AI assistants.
