Prepare a clothing product for your website and Instagram
Add a consistent photo gallery, accurate details, size stock and a product code customers can send in a DM.
Start with the actual garment
Give every style a distinct name and code. Check fabric composition, weight, care instructions and manufacturing origin against your samples or supplier records. Leave unverified specifications out. A design image alone cannot verify them.
Add four or five photos
Use a full front, full back, three-quarter view and a detail photo of the label or construction. An optional fifth photo can show the garment worn. Keep the same colour, pockets, artwork and cut across the gallery. Add model height and worn size only when you know them.
In Products, open the item and its Photos popup. Add the photos, choose the cover and press Done. Tag colour photos to their matching option. Finish with the main Save button.
Write the description
Start with a short paragraph explaining the silhouette, colour, distinctive design and styling. Leave a blank line, type DETAILS on its own line, then list verified details with a hyphen at the start of each line. Optional sections are FIT, SIZE GUIDE and FABRIC & CARE. Domain renders these sections as expandable rows and shows the product barcode as its style code.
A size guide should use measurements from your actual sample. For tops, record chest width, shoulder width and length. For pants, record waist, rise, inseam and leg opening. Explain whether you measured flat or around the body.
Count the stock you actually have
Open Manage options and create each size and colour. For counted options, enter the quantity for each pair. Do not give every size the whole product total. Save, then select each option on your website and check its price and availability. See sizes and colours and counted stock.
Connect the caption to the product
Store a unique code in the product Barcode field. Use that exact name and code in your caption: “For details, message the product name or code.” A caption does not create the product or activate its code. Save the live product first, then test a fresh name and code message from another Instagram account. Open the returned link and check the gallery and options.
