A salon is a calendar that sometimes sells a bottle of oil. If the diary and the till are two apps, the client's name is typed twice and the no-show is invisible to the person counting the drawer.

What to set up
Services are the catalogue: cut, colour, the thing that takes forty-five minutes. Products on the shelf are a second, smaller list. A booking holds the person, the service and the time. When they sit down, that booking should be able to become the bill, with the same name on it, rather than a fresh anonymous sale.
The day is a series of handovers between chairs, so the person who took the money should be on the sale. That is the same rule as the shift drawer. A salon under the service VAT line, which the amended Act puts at turnover above NPR 30,00,000 in the past twelve months for services, is not automatically a 13 percent shop. Some service trades are pulled in earlier by circular. Check before you print VAT because the salon down the lane does. The piece to read is PAN bill vs VAT bill.
A tablet at the desk is the whole computer. The printer is optional until a client asks for paper. How bookings sit in the day is the diary. The other trades, starting from clothes, are a clothing shop POS.
