What happens when your 90 free days end

Which tools go quiet, what deliberately keeps working, and why nothing you have built is ever locked away.

Every new shop opens on Pro, free, for 90 days. Nothing is charged and no card is taken, so nothing needs cancelling: on day 91 the shop simply lands on the free plan by itself. This guide is what that day actually looks like, written out in full so it is never a surprise.

The short version: your shop stays online, nothing is deleted, and reading is never blocked. Eight tools stop starting anything new. Finishing something you already started is always allowed.

What goes quiet

These eight leave the dashboard. The switches under Settings, What this shop does stay exactly where you set them, which is why this can look like a fault, so if a tab is missing while its switch is on, this is why.

  • Till. No new counter sales.
  • Khata. No new credit on the tab.
  • Events & tickets. No new event and no new ticket tier.
  • Bookings. The diary cannot be opened if it is closed.
  • Loyalty. No new points are granted.
  • Promo codes. No new codes.
  • TV board. The kitchen and collection screens stop launching.
  • Ledger. No new job book.

Alongside them, staff logins pause and the shop runs on your owner login again, your catalog is capped at 20 products (the ones over the line stay, and stay on sale, you simply cannot add the twenty-first), and Analytics narrows from 30 days to 7 and drops the traffic sources and top items.

What keeps working, on purpose

This is the part worth reading twice, because it is the difference between a price and a hostage. A shop whose plan runs out still has customers who owe it money, guests holding tickets to a night that has not happened, and shoppers with points in their pocket. None of that is ours to freeze.

  • Khata payments still record. New credit is refused, but settling up never is. Kumari didi owes NPR 4,300 from Dashain; she can pay all of it or NPR 500 of it, and the balance keeps coming down. A debt can always be closed out.
  • Points already earned can still be spent. Granting new points stops. Spending them does not, so a regular with 1,200 points in hand can still use them.
  • Tickets to a night already on sale still sell. Putting a new night on sale is what needs Pro. An event that is already selling keeps selling, keeps taking money, and every one of those tickets still scans at the door. The scanner does not care about your plan.
  • A diary already open keeps taking appointments. Turning bookings on is the gated step. Bookings that come in after that still land on your tab, and you can still confirm them and run them out.
  • A job book already open can still be finished. You can read it, add expenses, change figures and mark a promised sponsor paid. Only New ledger stops.
  • Promo codes you already made keep redeeming at checkout until you retire them.
  • Everything still reads. Every balance, every past ticket, every closed job, every figure. No report, list or history is ever hidden behind the plan.

Nothing is deleted

Not one row. Your khata balances, ledgers, events, guest lists, point balances, promo codes and counter sales all sit exactly where you left them. Turn Pro back on, whether that is next week or next Dashain, and every tab comes back with its contents untouched. Switching a feature off has always worked this way, and the plan works the same way, see Turn shop features on and off.

And the shop itself never closes

Your storefront, your link, your QR codes, your order board, your customers, your billing records and your receipts are on the free plan and stay free forever. Customers cannot tell what plan you are on: the shop never mentions it, and web orders keep arriving exactly as before. A free shop taking orders is the thing Pasal is for, not a crippled version of it.

What to do about it

Check Settings, then Plan, which names the plan you are on and, while you are on Pro, the date it runs to. If you want the eight tools back, see What Pro costs and how to turn it on. If a tab has gone and you are not sure this is why, work down When a tab or a button is missing.

  1. When a tab or a button is missingWhy two people can open the same dashboard and see different tabs, and how to get one back.
  2. What Pro costs and how to turn it onNPR 1,200 a month or NPR 12,000 a year, what it adds, what stays free forever, and how to pay for it today.
  3. Turn shop features on and offYour shop type switches on the parts that suit it. Settings, What this shop does is where you change your mind.
