About Aangan Woodworks

Bhaktapur has carved wood for six hundred years and lost most of it twice, and the workshops that came back did so one window frame at a time. Ram Bahadur Prajapati apprenticed on temple restoration and opened this shed in 2011; his daughter Sunita does the drawings now and the joints are still cut by hand. Seasoning takes the time it takes, which is why nothing here is ready tomorrow.
